About Us :

Nuzvid Municipality is 4th largest ULB n the Krishna District of A.P. It is spread over an area of 26.89 Sq.Kms with a population of 58,590 (2011 census). It is known for/ famous for its Mangoes known as Nuzvid Rasalu.

Location :

It is located 350 Kms from capital city and 85 Kms from District Headquarters. It was established as 3rd Grade Municipality in the year 1983.

There are 25 zones and 30 election wards in this Municipality.

Latitude โ€“ 16.78 North and Longitude โ€“ 80.85 East.

Climate and Rainfall :

Nuzvid town, in general, has a tropical climate, winters last from November to February, while summers last from March to June. The annual rainfall is 6 mm, most of it received during the months of July, August, September.

Demography :

The population of the town while was 50,354 in 2001 increased to 58,590 in 2011 with an increase of 16.35% in the last decade. The sex ratio is 1012 females per 1000 males. The literacy rate is 75.95%. 79.72% of the male population and 72.23% of the female population are literate.
